28 m² Float Dome Ø7 m
Floating glamping dome on the water
Geodesic dome on a pontoon platform – for lakes, marinas and premium resort units. Not a shore-side cabin, but a water experience with a terrace and SPA option.
Leisure architecture on the water
Float Dome Ø7 m – a GEODOMAS glamping solution for those who want not just to stay in nature, but to experience it. A geodesic dome on a pontoon platform connects water, forest, panoramic views, a private terrace and a comfortable interior.
A floating glamping apartment that becomes the destination itself.
The first floating prototype – Floating Glamping Boat
GEODOMAS Floating Dome / Glamping Boat – a unique nature retreat experience: comfort, silence and a direct connection with the water. Not just transport – floating homes with a sense of luxury and calm.
Inside – warmth, light and panorama
Inside, cosy interiors await where modernity meets natural elements. Through large transparent windows the landscape opens like a changing painting – sun reflections on the water by day, moonlight at night.
SPA zone, heated floors and engineering systems ensure autonomy, energy efficiency and comfort in any season. You are part of nature here, yet protected from its harshness.
An experience impossible to create in a conventional cabin
A conventional cabin gives you a roof. Float Dome gives you a stage: morning – water at the terrace, evening – sunset through the panoramic dome section, night – silence and warm lighting.
On the water, yet with comfort
The dome form creates a soft, protective space without internal columns – important for a compact 27–28 m² footprint. Sleeping area, mini lounge, WC / shower zone, terrace and SPA or outdoor lounge use every square metre.
Steps on wooden decks, panoramic views and a robust pontoon solution create a sense of safety and stability – floating homes designed for leisure, not compromise.
Not a night's stay – an impression
This is a product for guests seeking not a room, but a story worth photographing and remembering. Hide from city rhythm, listen to water and birds, be with loved ones or alone with your thoughts.
Positioning: nature capsule on the water, a romantic dome in lake silence, or a premium glamping yacht without classic yacht complexity.
Calm, strength and space without compromise
The geodesic form connects nature and modern living – robust structure, open space and comfort with lower running costs.
Without city noise and neighbour pressure – silence, water and privacy as core value.
Geodesic geometry distributes loads better than rectangular cabins – strength in varied climates.
No internal supports blocking the view. Partitions or a loft can be added – keeping light and panorama.
Ventilation, heating or cooling, optimal air circulation – cosiness with efficient operation.
Strategic windows, skylights and doors connect interior with landscape – retreat or unique leisure object.
For resorts, hotels, weddings and VIP experiences – an object guests remember.
Where the landscape is the main value
The model is especially strong on lake shores, in marinas, glamping parks, leisure bases, retreat centres and boutique tourism sites.
Premium accommodation units on the water.
Leisure capsules by harbour or pier.
Romantic weekend apartments.
Private water leisure modules.
Memorable, visually strong object.
VIP terrace and photo-shoot location.

Frequently asked questions about Float Dome
Short answers before consultation, technical review and commercial proposal.
How does Float Dome differ from a standard glamping dome?
It is a geodesic dome on a pontoon platform – a floating structure with a terrace and water experience, not a land-based cabin.
What are the area and diameter?
On this site we use 28 m² Float Dome Ø7 m. In technical text the area is approximately 27–28 m².
Is it suitable for all seasons?
Yes – with thermal insulation, heating, ventilation and other comfort systems. Declared range from −40 °C to +80 °C; specification aligned per project.
Can it move on the water?
The layout allows engine power of 20 HP (up to 40 HP). Final mode – stationary anchoring or limited movement – depends on local rules and engineering review.
What is the Lakajai video and Ø8 m prototype?
This is the first GEODOMAS Floating Glamping Boat prototype in Lakajai (approx. 32 m² · Ø8 m). In the commercial line we position 28 m² Float Dome Ø7 m; technical data and drawings follow the prototype layout.
Are there operating Float Dome / Glamping Boat projects?
Yes. Commercial sites with online booking operate in Lithuania – e.g. GlampingBoat in Trakai (27 m²) and Aštuntoji nendrė in Molėtai (28 m²). More in the Projects section.
Can I order a bespoke project?
Yes. If the standard is not enough – we align form, pontoon, SPA, interior and engineering to your site. Details in the Bespoke design section.
